Mahuli Community Development Center (MCDC) is a non-governmental organization working in Saptari district since 1994. Currently, MCDC is implementing the project titled “Strengthening municipal-wide WASH governance for social change in Saptari District (NPL1060)” of Madesh Province. WASH Governance Project is a 3 years project funded by VCA/BMZ and supported by Welthungerhilfe (WHH). This program started in December 2019 and will end in December 2022 (Probability of Extension). We invite applications from interested and qualified Nepali citizens for the following positions. These positions are based in Saptari district with frequently field visit in 3 Palikas of Project Area namely Dakneshwari Municipality, Bishnupur and Rajgadh Rural Municipality.
1. Nutrition Officer- 1 Position
S/he will lead the Nutrition component of program. Effective planning, implementation and monitoring of project activities related to nutrition and hygiene promotion in three program Municipalities of Saptari district and ensure the overall achievement of project outcomes related to Nutrition. Under the direct supervision of Project Coordinator, S/he is responsible for effect and efficient implementation of project activities, supervision and coaching of project staffs and coordinating with municipal authorities, stakeholders, and Welthungerhilfe field team.
Qualification and Experiences:
Bachelors’s degree in Public health, Nursing, Nutrition or any other discipline equivalent and having experience of at least 4 years or more in Nutrition & WASH specially in Terai region of Nepal and also having experience in project planning, implementation, and management along with advance computer skills and fluent in speaking & report writing skill in English, Nepali and local languages. Having valid two-wheeler driving license and able to ride a motorcycle in rural environment.
