FHI 360 has been working in Nepal since 1993 in the areas of HIV/AIDS, family planning/reproductive health, nutrition, antimicrobial resistance, environment, capacity building, civil society and media strengthening, and governance reform. FHI 360’s work is grounded in evidence and aligns with and provides support to the Government of Nepal’s development priorities and plans. FHI 360 requests applications from the interested and qualified individuals for short-term assignments as follows:
Position: COVID-19 Program Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Family Welfare Division (FWD), Provincial Health Directorate (PHDs), health offices and municipalities to identify the gaps, needs and access for COVID-19 vaccination coverage and equity.
- Support to track/monitor and analyze the COVID-19 vaccination coverage through DHIS2 and vaccine received by central vaccine store (CVS) and respective provincial health logistic management center (PHLMC) and ensure the vaccination coverage against vaccine received in municipality level.
- Coordinate with municipalities and health facilities to support vaccination camps/sites and disseminate COVID-19 vaccine related messages for demand generation and addressing vaccine related mis-and dis-information and vaccine hesitancy through online and offline platforms.
- Coordinate with health offices and municipalities to identify the gaps and needs for point of entry (PoE) strengthening in terms of screening, testing, referral management, treatment and proper recording and reporting of COVID-19 and other pandemic cases.
- Support to identify district/municipalities specific gaps, needs and access on COVID-19 vaccination and coordinate to center for support.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Public Health or equivalent
- Experience in COVID-19 program response activities including vaccination, and health system strengthening
