World Social Work Day is on the 16th March 2021. It is the key day in the year that social workers worldwide stand together to advance our common message globally. This year, the 2021 World Social Day highlights Ubuntu: I am Because We Are. This is the first theme of the 2020 to 2030 Global Agenda for Social Work and Social Development.
World Social Work Day is a celebration that aims to highlight the achievements of social work, to raise the visibility of social services for the future of societies, and to defend social justice and human rights. Every year, World Social Work Day is celebrated the 16th March , it is a celebration that has become a highpoint in the social work calendar with social workers all over the world celebrating and promoting the contributions of the profession to individuals, families, communities and wider society.
Theme for World Social Work Day 2021 | Theme
Ubuntu: I am Because We are – Strengthening Social Solidarity and Global Connectedness. Ubuntu: ‘I am because we are’ is a concept and philosophy that resonates with the social work perspective of the interconnectedness of all peoples and their environments. It speaks to the need for global solidarity and also highlights indigenous knowledge and wisdom.

Summing up, Social work is a practice based calling that advances social change, improvement, attachment and the strengthening of individuals and networks. Social work practice includes the comprehension of human turn of events, conduct and the social, financial and social establishments and connections. Child and family social workers ensure weak kids and backing families needing help. Community Social Workers assist individuals with tackling and adapt to issues in their regular day to day existences. Clinical social Workers additionally analyze and treat mental, conduct, and intense subject matters. World Social Work Day appreciates their contribution and effort to make community, state, nation and ultimately world a better place.
