Leprosy Coordinator | INF Nepal | ngo jobs 2022 : International Nepal Fellowship (Nepal) is a Non-Government Organization established in 1952 and serves the poor and disadvantaged people of Nepal to enable life in its fullness through health and development services. INF Nepal is currently working in health and community development services in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces of Nepal.

INF Nepal is planning to implement a 3-year Zero Leprosy strategy to eliminate Leprosy and minimize leprosyrelated disability, stigma, and discrimination in Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali Provinces in close coordination with INF Nepal’s hospitals, community programs, the Government of Nepal and other related stakeholders.

1. Position: Leprosy Program Coordinator

Location: Pokhara with frequent travels to Project Areas

Purpose of the Job:

The post holder is responsible to provide managerial leadership and oversight for the implementation of INF Nepal’s Leprosy strategy, leading the INF leprosy team in designing and implementing projects to achieve the goals of the strategy, leading the further development and improvement of INF leprosy services in line with international best practices, and ensure that lessons learned are integrated into project implementation to improve quality of interventions and outcomes. This position will also liaise with the related stakeholders, monitor donor compliance and reporting on Leprosy.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge for Leprosy Coordinator | INF Nepal | ngo jobs 2022

  • Master’s in Public Health or Master’s in relevant degree with a minimum of three years of professional experience in project management. Managing large, multi-year, multi-sectorial health-related projects is an advantage.
  • Leprosy-related experience or training, experience in teaching, facilitation, and research is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills as well as negotiation skills with proven skills in project management and operation. Excellent analytical skills to make an informed decisions in project operation and provide leadership to the team members.
  • Strong technical skills and abilities in developing proposals, reports, and program modalities for effective implementation.
  • Ability to see the big picture and how multiple departments and project components work together in the achievement of larger goals.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize large amounts of information and utilize it in operation management and improvement.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop the technical and operational capacity of team members. Willing to take on leadership and opportunities for improvement and can influence positive change within the organization.
  • Excellent skills in facilitation, team building and coordination between hospitals, community and government. Ability to motivate and inspire others to change and adopt new ways of working.
  • Proven ability in multi-tasking, working independently, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Good English language skills (written and spoken) and good numeracy skills, good computer skills in Word and Excel.
  • Ability to function efficiently under tight deadlines and stressful situations. Sets clearly defined objectives; plans activities and projects well in advance and takes account of possible changing circumstances. Highly organized and follows a systematic approach to results delivery.
  • High level of personal and professional integrity, and demonstrates high regard towards organization policies and regulations.
  • Able to be an example of excellent work ethic and behaviour.
  • Good understanding of, and agreement with INF’s core values.
