The 7th Summit of Health and Population Scientists is scheduled to startfrom Today . The main organizer of the conference, the Health Research Council, gave information about the conference at a press conference on Wednesday.The conference will be held on April 3 and 4. Due to the Corona epidemic, this year’s event will be held in a different way, according to the organizers.
Minister for Health and Population Krishna Gopal Shrestha is scheduled to inaugurate the conference. It will be live from Nepal Television and Council’s Facebook page.The council has been holding scientific conferences on health and population for seven years since its inception.The slogan of this year’s conference is ‘Evidence for Research Policy and Implementation in Public Health Crisis’.


The conference will be attended by scientists, researchers, universities, students, external development partners, health experts, medical practitioners and others. The member secretary of the council, Dr. Krishna Kumar, believes in advocating for health research work, developing an effective discipline culture and making informed decisions based on research findings in health plans, policies and programs.For the two-day conference, local and foreign researchers related to public health will give oral presentations of 47 research-oriented works, 19 poster presentations and 24 invitational presentations.
