61st Nepal Nursing Day: Every year on 15th Magh, the Nepalese Nursing Day is observed. Nursing Day is celebrated to acknowledge the nursing profession’s bravery, kindness, and dedication to service.Nurses play an important role in ensuring the world’s health. Their advocacy allows them to change things for the better by creating change that benefits everyone. Nurses advocate for quality health care and universal health coverage to make a difference in their communities. Providing nursing care ensures that everyone has access to a healthy lifestyle.Historically, as well as today, nurses are at the forefront of fighting epidemics and pandemics – providing high quality and respectful treatment and care. They are often the first and sometimes the only health professional that people see and the quality of their initial assessment, care and treatment is vital. Outside, the fires of World War II were raging, people were being killed and injured every day, and Florence Nightingale, a small lamp, was always at the service of the wounded.

61st Nepal Nursing Day | 2023 Brief
Nursing professionals are at the front lines of service provision and play an important role in care focused on people and communities. In many countries, they act as leaders or key members of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary health teams. They provide a wide range of services at all levels of the health care system. However, there is a shortage of nursing professionals in the Region of the Americas; this shortage is primarily attributable to the emigration of professionals to other regions, different levels of economic development in the countries, precarious employment conditions, human resource policies for health workers including nurses, and lack of professional regulation. Everyday Nepal Nursing day is celebrated at 15th Magh of everyyear. Till date as per NNC , following status of nursing education can be found
