Communication and Documentation Officer | BBC | ngo jobs 2022 : It has been advocating and working continuously on the Beijing Platform for Action aftermath of the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing since 1995. BBC aims to work towards the civil, political, economic and social empowerment of women and girls to achieve substantive gender equality, women’s human rights and sustainable development in Nepal. BBC has been actively engaging in CEDAW monitoring, ICPD Monitoring, UPR reporting, and MDGs’ implementation and currently the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). BBC is a founder of Nepal SDGs Forum (CSOs Forum) and the Convener of Women and Girls’ constituency and gender justice theme. It also functions as the secretariat of the Women Major Group for Sustainable Development in Nepal founded (WMG-SDN) in 2017 “.

Position: Communication and Documentation Officer

Reports: Executive Director

Location: Kathmandu with field visit as per the need

SCOPE OF THIS POSITION

The Communication and Documentation Officer will be responsible to develop and manage communication and documentation strategies to increase the visibility of organization ensuring protection of data in coordination with Executive Director.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our mission and vision.
Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, social media content, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other communication material that communicates the organization’s mission and project work in coordination with project personnel, executive directors and boards.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with concerned stakeholders.
Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the organization, and coordinate for publicity in any organization’s events as required.
Maintain records of media coverage.
Support on designing the reading materials.
Coordinate with management for any conflict as it arises.
Investigate and develop new ideas and system in the provision of documentation related services
Coordinate, develop and maintain online documentation requirement
Be responsible for proper storage of the all the project/work documents, cataloging and retrieving as required.
Be responsible for the document’s security, for assigning access and for removing and destroying obsolete documents.
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and Board.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE for Communication and Documentation Officer | BBC | ngo jobs 2022

Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, management or related field at minimum.
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a communications role.
Knowledge of desktop publishing software (e.g., InDesign/Photoshop).
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms.
