Grants Officer | HI | ngo jobs 2023: Handicap International Federation (HI) is an independent and impartial aid organization, created in 1982, working across 63 countries. HI works alongside the vulnerable populations, whatever the context, taking action to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions and promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights. Present in Nepal since 2000, HI works through a network of local partner organizations in the area of health and physical rehabilitation, inclusive education and resilience including emergency response to improve the living conditions and involvement of the most vulnerable populations in Nepal.

1. Grants Officer – 1 position

Location: Country Office, Kathmandu
Summary of Key Responsibilities of Grants Officer | HI | ngo jobs 2023
- Coordinate with the project reporting phases: Draw up retro-plannings for each report, collaborating with the different departments involved, Contribute to the smooth coordination between Project Managers, Area Managers, Operations Managers and Country Managers, Global Specialists and the Operations Manager for the compilation of narrative report contributions and in the monitoring of donor contracts, Ensure coordination with shared services to ensure overall consistency of narrative and financial reports and completeness of annexes
- Ensure quality control of project reports and compliance with donor requirement procedures
- Ensure that concept notes, project proposals and narrative reports are submitted on time and in accordance with donor procedures
- Regularly update grants information and donors’ relations on Customer Relationship Management platform (CRM)
- Support the team on contractual issues and link with headquarters/partners: contracting process with partners and questions on donor rules, in line with HQ compliance and risk unit
- Support Program Director in managing dispute with donor on the grants
- Organize training and support capacity building for all staff members, HI partners’ staff on program development, documentation and reporting, as well as on HI’s specific documentation
- Archive donor feedback and adapt reporting accordingly
- Support in the development of internal and external communication materials (sitreps, factsheets etc)
- Structure and share information for dissemination to the HQ, partners, coordination forums (newsletters, presentations, videos…)
- Support in the analysis of the changes in donor strategies
- Act as a translator/interpreter for written and verbal communication as required
- Perform other duties as requested by the line manager as per the requirement

Qualification and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, finance or any relevant field
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience with INGOs
- Demonstrated experience in grant management
- Knowledge of M&E and reporting mechanisms as well as strong grasp of all stages of project cycle management
- Experience in working effectively across various teams within the project and organization, and building and sustaining positive working relationships with partner organization, government, and other stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Nepali
