Project Coordinator | Kopila Nepal | ngo jobs 2022 : KOPILA Nepal is a non-governmental social organization, implementing projects in nine districts of Gandaki Province. The organization works with women, children, persons with disabilities and people facing mental health issues.

We are looking for a qualified candidate for the position of the Head of Psychosocial Wellbeing Department and Project Coordinator.

Job Title: Head of the Psychosocial Wellbeing Department and Project Coordinator

The Head of the Psychosocial Wellbeing Department and Project Coordinator oversees the Department’s activities and ensures the project implementation, as well as supports the project staff in the areas of mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS). 

In this position a high degree of communication competence, collaboration- and networking skills are needed. 

He/she needs to have experience in providing MHPSS to vulnerable groups, in capacitating and supervising field staff, as well as in ensuring technical support to the project. Additionally, the position involves engaging, supporting, and guiding the target groups in capacity development to foster resilience and strengthen the MHPSS sector in Nepal.

This position requires to be innovative, solution-oriented, and to be able to adapt to changes quickly. The Head of Department and Project Coordinator is required to support integrating MHPSS as interdisciplinary cross-cutting topic to yield broader impact at local and national levels. 

Tasks & Responsibilities 

• Ensure implementation of the project cycle of all MHPSS projects 
• Facilitation and organization of training related to MHPSS 
• Support PM&E processes 
• Coordinate with finance department for budget monitoring and reporting
• Reporting in English and Nepali
• Leading the municipal and district level coordination of activities between target group, specialists, local actors and available resources 
• Close cooperation with international advisor

Qualifications & Requirements 

• Master’s degree (Psychology, Social Work or other related discipline) 
• 3+ years of experience in managing projects
• Knowledge and experience working in the field of MHPSS, gender-based violence, peace building, psychosocial disability, social inclusion, and human rights
• Experience in facilitation, moderation, training design and delivery 
• experience in organizing capacity building activities
• Experience in counseling, supervision and mentoring 
• Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation skills
• Ability to manage budgets (planning, tracking, review)
• Experience in report writing in English and Nepali language 
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications (word, excel, power point)
• Excellent communication and proficiency in written/ spoken Nepali and English language
