Education: Bachelor level, (preferred master level)
Experience required: More than or equal to 2 years
Other Specification
- Master Degree in Public Health or Education or sociology or relevant discipline with 2-3 years working experience in relevant area. Or Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health or Education or sociology or relevant discipline with more than 5 years working experience in relevant areas.
- Strong knowledge of Early child development, child and women’s rights and gender justice, Advanced understanding of the development and NGO sector
- Experience of working with coalitions and networks
- Ability to write clear and concise reports in English
- Fluent speaking in English and Nepali language
- Proven IT skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc
- Self- motivated and capable of managing work independently
- Knowledge and skills of office administration and management
- Driving skill (2 wheelers) with license

Under direct supervision of the chairperson, the project coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of Child Development through Responsive care, Early stimulation, Affection in family and Motivated parents (Child DREAM) project. The incumbent will provide guidance and technical support to project team to implement the project in line with project portfolio.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Planning and implementation of project activities without compromising its quality as per agreed with Plan International Nepal
- Ensure high degree of technical expertise while implementing projects relevant to technical specifications/standards
- Manage Child DREAM project as a leader with day to day operations
- Work closely with local government representatives and other stakeholders for effective implementation of the Child DREAM Project
- Organize and Conduct Orientation, Trainings at District level, Rural/Municipality and Province level on early childhood Development
- Work closely, Coach and support to community facilitators/Social mobilizers (ECD Team) to achieve program quality at target community
- Identify the training needs/gap of the community facilitators/social mobilizers and provide/ recommend training plans to enhance their knowledge and skills on Early childhood Development
- Monitor the progress of community facilitators/social mobilizers through frequent field visits, report performance on monthly basis
- Lead to develop district and community level campaigns in local context in line with priority of early child hood development
- Make regular program reviews and provide feedback to the project team( social mobilizers, community facilitators, supervisors
- Conduct regular reviews of budgets and work plans to ensure compliance with agreed specific
- Requirements of Plan International Nepal and address any changes to the original plan in time
- Advocate for promoting children’s agenda on Early Childhood Development in annual and strategic planning of R/Municipalities in line with influencing objectives
- Attend meetings, workshop, trainings, exposure visits and interaction program organized by Plan International Nepal, IVDS and other organization (relevant sector) as well
- Be innovative to lead campaigns at local level and advocacy to address the issues of children, youth and young people.
- Ensure that qualitative and quantitative report has been submitted on time to PC-ECD of Plan International Nepal
- Ensure that relevant policies and procedures of Plan International Nepal and government of Nepal have been respected and complied with
- Liaise with different teams within Plan and outside Plan for the implementation of integrated programme (e.g. education, WASH, Health and Protection)
- Collect, prepare and submit ECD related reports (disaggregated data , lesson learnt, challenges, case stories)on monthly and quarterly basis (as per requirement)
- Ensure lessons learnt, challenges and case studies are documented in the project
