Research Assistant | TPO Nepal | ngo jobs 2024: Transcultural Psychosocial Organization Nepal (TPO Nepal) is a non-governmental organization working in the field of psychosocial well-being and mental health, registered in the District Administration Office Kathmandu and affiliated to the Social Welfare Council. Since its inception, this organization has been providing psychosocial support in normal and emergency situations based on the community in various districts of Nepal, as well as conducting training and research on psychosocial and mental health issues.In this regard, this organization is conducting the RESHAPE program in Pokhara Metropolitan City of Gandaki Province with the financial support of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), USA in collaboration with the Department of Epidemiology and Disease Control and the Mental Health Department of Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital. The main objective of this program is to provide mental health training to health workers working in primary health institutions to enable them to provide quality mental health services in the community. Therefore, under this project, there is a need for research assistants from the local level for the study, research and data collection in Pokhara Metropolitan City of Kaski District, so those who meet the qualifications mentioned below are requested to submit their applications within the specified date.

Roles and Responsibilities for Research Assistant | TPO Nepal | ngo jobs 2024
To select participants for research work in designated health institutions and communities and to collect data by filling consent forms with them. Coordinating with government and non-government agencies to make the research work regular and organized. Ensuring that the statistics collected through research are of high quality. Translating the research materials and questionnaires as needed and assisting the research team to finalize them. Conducting the research work regularly and systematically. Work in coordination with the project manager, project coordinator, district coordinator and research officer and submit regular information and reports.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Passed or studying in BA, BEd, BPH or other related subjects.Nepali citizenship certificate.Experience related to community level studies and research.Having coordination and communication skills.Able to work outside office hours if required.Able to work in remote areas of the district. Can use computer and tablet. Preference will be given to those who have knowledge and experience in quantitative, qualitative and mixed research methods. Preference will be given to applicants who know data collection software such as (Redcap, ODK). English and Nepali. Preference will be given to those who can write and speak the language simply.
