Staff Nurse | TLMN | ngo jobs 2024: TLM Nepal’s FOUND (Fueling Opportunities to end Unemployment for Nepalis with Disability) Project aims to support 2,500 unemployed skilled people with disabilities from five economic hub districts of Nepal to find and thrive in formal or self-employment. The HEAL project provides cutting edge treatments and care to end suffering and disability caused by leprosy and lymphatic filariasis (LF). They further seek to reduce leprosy incidence in high prevalence districts by providing single doses of rifampicin, the anti-leprosy drug, as a preventative treatment to those in close contact with someone recently diagnosed with leprosy. The Mycobacterial Research Laboratory is one of the world’s few highly professional research facilities dedicated to leprosy where TLM Nepal undertakes cutting-edge research. TLM Nepal also works in developing disaster resilient communities by training thousands of health workers and volunteers from all over Nepal in disaster response. TLM provides training on group management and income generation to self-help groups for people with leprosy. They encourage these groups to undertake small projects in their local communities to help change attitudes and develop a normal level of participation in society.Provides quality nursing care in collaboration with health care team of the hospital for overall healing of the patients keeping in mind about vision and mission of The Leprosy Mission Nepal.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care and assist healthcare teams in delivering treatment plans.
  • Monitor patients’ health conditions, administer medications, and record patient progress accurately.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management and treatment plans.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
  • Document patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Participate in continuous education and training programs to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
  • Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Any other job as assigned by the line manager.

Job Specification:

  • PCL Nursing Graduates from a recognized institution and registered on Nepal Nursing Council (NNC).
  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills, including patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in medical documentation and record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety protocols.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
