- Master’s OR Bachelor’s degree in education or Social Work.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience or working as the leader at a Community School or at least two years of working as a Senior Social Worker at the community level.
- Ability to use ICT skills include MS office, Distance learning, Social Media and Participatory tools such as PRA, APPA, Social Artistry to mobilize community members.
- Is passionate about advocating for children’s welfare, child rights and general wellbeing.
Full Time (48hrs/week)
Salary: Rs. 50,000+ p/m (incl. TDS etc.)

Job Description
TSA (Total School Approach) Facilitators will foster genuine collaboration between communities and schools so that the present and future generations of Children are safe, educated, remain at home and are active in the development of their rural villages in Helambu. TSA facilitators will work closely with the allocated 6 to 9 schools and their catchment communities and ensure that by the end of the project:
- Parents and community stakeholders are mobilized and have taken ownership of their local schools.
- All schools know how to promote inclusive learning cultures. That the teachers have acquired the necessary pedagogical tool to teach diverse classrooms
- All secondary schools have introduced the teaching of math, science and social studies using ICT
- All children and communities in their cluster areas remain safe from Coronavirus and are able to enjoy improved health and wellbeing.
Responsibilities:
- To work closely with the allocated 6 to 9 school’s headmasters, teachers, SMCs PTAs, Child Clubs, local communities, and local government.
- Contribute to the wok of the National Consultative TSA Committee, Local Project Advisory Committee, and the project steering Group via the TSA Facilitators Representative.
- Implement the advice and recommendations made by the above-mentioned bodies.
- Ensure that the Community Book, Community Information Boards, Community Feedback Systems are maintained regularly, and actions are taken promptly in accordance with the guidelines.
- Facilitate / Contribute to the Inception meetings with local parents and community stakeholders. Community meetings will be held every month in the first year.
- Co-ordinate the delivery of four different types of workshop in school clusters. SMCs extended areas of responsibility in a TSA; Our Children – Child Protection Strategies; Technical knowledge designing school improvement plans, school budgeting and finance and Transparent SMCs, participatory processes seeking consensus and participation of greater catchment area.
- Follow up support to each of the SMCs in allocated cluster schools.
- Organize capacity building workshop for PTAs. Citizenship; Child Welfare &protection; GESI strategies; Choice of subject for local curriculum; learning for the sustainable environment.
- Facilitate the monthly PTA meeting and provide regular follow up support to the PTAs in between the meetings.
- Facilitate the process of ‘supporting quality learning environments at all cluster schools. E.g. ensure that each schools has an improved sanitation, hygiene and clean drinking water facilities.
- Share experience of TSA through social media, TSA newsletter etc.
- Organize and facilitate workshop at the local and national level.
- Facilitate collaboration between schools and teacher to teacher support in the cluster and maximize the use of limited resources.
- Mobilize and facilitate formation and development of child clubs in each schools in the cluster
- Empower local students and encourage them to attract ‘out of school’ children and missing children to come to their local schools.
- Organize the ICT and distance learning training for all teachers, students and SMCs and PTA members.
- Any other relevant duties and as advised by the Project Co-Ordinator.
