It is a non-profit, non-political, non-governmental organization registered with the District Administration Office (Registration No. 1067/2065) and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC No: 25314). Since its inception on April 2, 2008, on “World Autism Awareness Day,” it has been actively engaged in autism awareness programs, advocating for the rights of individuals with autism, providing diagnostic and interventions services, and capacity building of individuals with autism, their parents, and caregivers in Nepal.

Essential:

  • Strong evidence of experience in work with the Government and public health sector at federal, provincial, and local levels
  • Post Graduate in Psychology, Social work, Development Studies, Public Health, or other Health-related fields
  • Fluency in English and Nepali oral and written communication
  • Demonstrated experience in documentation including reports, standard operating procedures
  • Experience of minimum 5 years
  • Proficient in using digital tools (Mobile phones, laptops, audio/video recorders, etc.).
  • Proficient in MS Office with excellent MS Excel knowledge, internet, outlook, and email
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Commitment of 5 years.

Desirable:

  • Experience in public health or mental health program implementation and research.
  • Experience of being able to coordinate, and liaison across teams in Lalitpur district and other stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and leadership qualities

Job Description

About the Project:

Global Health Research Unit on Neurodevelopment and Autism in South Asia Treatment and Evidence- NAMASTE aims to design and implement a flexible evidenced pathway toward universal health coverage for children with autism, through a program of research, training, and capacity building across India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. This is a collaborative research project, led by the University of Manchester in the UK, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. In Nepal, the AutismCare Nepal Society (ACNS) collaborate to conduct this project in Godawari Municipality, Lalitpur district.

About the Role:

ACNS is seeking to recruit a Project Manager for NAMASTE . The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the project including the implementation of the program in adherence to its stated objectives, recruitment and capacity building of all team members, liaison of government and non-government stakeholders across the study site and compliance with organizational HR, admin, and finance policies.

Roles & Responsibilities for Program manager |ACNS | ngo jobs:

Liasioning with Key Stakeholders

  • Liaison with Social Welfare Council, government officials and relevant stakeholders on a federal, provincial, and local level for the effective implementation of the project.
  • Build, coordinate, and maintain partnerships with community members and health system stakeholders at the fieldwork site (Godawari Municipality), including members of the public health community and civil society, Organizations for People with Disabilities (OPDs) and other relevant stakeholders.

Field Work Planning and Implementation

  • Recruit all program teams.
  • Coordinate and supervise the various program teams.
  • Plan and oversee the daily activities of the team.
  • Ensure quality of fieldwork through regular supervisory visits.
  • Support fieldwork site travel and logistics for the data collection on participants and implementation.
  • Monitor the fieldwork progress and provide an effective solution.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the daily project activities and plays a critical role in the conduct of the project.
  • Communicate with team members to ensure optimal strategy and maximum efficiency.
  • Lead routine meetings and report pertinent information to and from team members.

Others

  • Prepare reports related to fieldwork status for communication with the project team and collaborators including the country teams in the UK, India, and Sri Lanka.
  • Assist in the submission of accurate and timely closeout documents to applicable regulatory and sponsoring agencies.
  • Develop a project management plan to include details of developing and monitoring all aspects of a project.
  • Assist the Project Director in the development of materials and tools necessary to appropriately train individuals involved in the conduct of the study around issues related to (but not limited to) protocol requirements, schedule of visits, and execution of the research plan.
  • Promote the ethical conduct of the project.
  • Establish an efficient data management system and maintain the confidentiality of data.
  • Attend trainings whenever needed related to the project.
  • Participate and assist in all ACNS’s activities

Tenure: 60 Months
